East Bay-II : 163/10 in 33.3 overs(Harshal 44, Mahesh 35, Neeraj 4/43, Kunal 4/21)
Both teams had been looking forward to this game for quiet some time now. The game was played in good spirits with the usual banter and Torpedos came out on top this time. Torpedos won the toss and elected to bat first and the way Neeraj started belting the ball all over, it looked like East Bay was in for a long day in the field but Monty produced a beauty to bowl Neeraj for 22. After Neeraj\'s dismissal, the momentum turned in East Bay\'s favor and they were able to take wickets at regular intervals and Torpedos were struggling at 68/6 after 15 overs. Tarun and Vipul dug in for the Torpedos and ensured that no more wickets were lost in the next 15 overs, although only 48 runs were scored during this period. Vipul opened up after the second drinks break and played some aggressive shots to up the scoring rate and guided Torpedos to a fighting total of 181/10 from 45 overs.
East Bay started off in disastrous fashion losing the first wicket on the third ball of the innings. Monty and Mahesh were able to take 17 runs off Neeraj\'s second over but he came back and picked up Monty in the next over. Neeraj bowled his quota of overs on the trot and picked up 4 key wickets. East Bay couldn\'t string together any partnerships and lost wickets at regular intervals. Harshal and Krunal played well in the end and at one point were threatening the target but Harshal fell 18 short of the target. In the end, it was a closely fought game that neither team deserved to lose.
Mandeep and Davinder dominate as East Bay-II crushes Tracy-II
Mandeep won the toss for East Bay and decided to bat first on a hot day. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Tracy as they dominated the initial proceedings and East Bay batsmen lost the plot as they decided for the big shots against the wind. Tracy was in command at East Bay were struggling at 136 for 9 after 32 overs. What followed was a treat to watch as Davinder dominated and took the attack to the Tracy bowlers who had no answer for his onslaught. Davinder scored 65 off only 54 balls as East Bay reached 219 for 9 in the alloted 45 overs. Kunal ably supported Davinder as they put on a partnership of 83 runs at better than a run per ball.
Tracy never batsmen never looked like they would reach anywhere near the target against an inspired East Bay bowling attack. The fast bowlers were able to build some pressure by maintaining an accurate line and length and they were supported well by the fielders. Tracy batsmen were crawling along at 51/3 after 18 overs when the two spinners in the form of Mandeep and Kunal came on to bowl. The spinners were able to choke the runs and shared 7 wickets between them for 45 runs from 18 overs. It was a clinical performance by East Bay in the field as they trounced Tracy by 120 runs and improved to 3-1 on the season.
